It’s not easy to budget for home maintenance and repairs. This is especially true if you are a first-time home buyer or a senior on a fixed income. Unexpected repairs are needed from time to time, and regular maintenance is important to keep any gas or electric appliance running properly.
An affordable solution is a maintenance plan. This provides your equipment with an annual inspection by a licensed technician, to help identify potential problems; under-performing components, fans, filters, motors, and the condition of fuel lines, electrical cables. Replacing worn parts and checking connections, especially for gas, prevents major equipment failure and ensures safety.
A maintenance plan means that you have a professional HVAC technician keeping track of your service visits and scheduling annual checks, so you don’t have to remember to do that.
Many organizations offer maintenance plans but it’s important to go with a local contractor that you can build a relationship with. That way you receive consistent attention, from a company that knows your name and wants to do business with you, year after year.
We offer that kind of personal service to our customers, and we’re proud of our reviews!
The best choice of maintenance plan for you will depend on your home heating and cooling equipment – its age, condition, and warranty coverage. The plans can be custom configured to include single appliance coverage such as a furnace, combinations of heating or cooling products, or any special equipment you may have.
Custom Comfort offers two levels of WeCare Maintenance plans. For new installations or equipment under warranty, we recommend WeCare Club. For customers with equipment that is over the original warranty period, WeCare Protection Plus is a good choice.
Option 1: WeCare Club
WeCare Club provides an annual Safety Check & Tune-up inspection and cleaning every year, plus 20% off any repairs and discounted diagnostics, should your system need repair.
Option 2: WeCare Protection Plus
The WeCare Protection Plus membership comes with the same great benefits as the WeCare Club membership, including our annual Safety Check & Tune Up on your equipment, but it also includes full coverage for all parts (with just a few exceptions) and labour, if your unit needs repair. You will also benefit from priority appointments over non-maintenance plan customers, and after-hours service is no extra charge.
While most HVAC systems, including your air conditioning, are made to last 20 years or more, regular maintenance and some sort of repair are often needed within its lifetime. The WeCare Program not only reduces the chances of something breaking, by ensuring your equipment is regularly checked, but it also lowers the cost should a repair be required.
